Space is the Place is a movie made in 1972 that features some amazing costumes and music.
It is mostly about Sun Ra coming from space to earth to talk to kids in the ghetto, and select people to come back to his african planet with him. Because Sun Ra is a musician from space there is a lot of crazy jazz music throughout the whole film and spaced out space music. Sun Ra dresses in an Egyptian costume for most of the film and wears a gold metal wig. There is also a tall person in an Egyptian costume with a mirror for a face. Sun Ra is trying to get his message to the people of earth through his music. It's a 1970's ghetto style movie - with pimps and ho's and rich high rolling gangsters. In the end the fbi try to assassinate him. We rated this 7.5/10 for the music, the costumes and the attention holding ability.
